Builder gel

A protective layer over your own nails

A thin layer of builder gel is shaped over the natural nail and cured under the lamp. We keep it short, rounded and sheer.

It suits people who are hard on their nails and want them left plain. How long it lasts varies with your work, so we check it with you at each visit.

  • Shaped short, with a rounded corner

  • Clear or sheer, or a color over it

  • Rebalanced as your nails grow

Removal

Book removal first if your nails were done somewhere else.

Prices are the studio's own and show when you book. Times are for a typical visit; shape, length and color can add to them.

Questions

About overlays

Is it different from gel polish?

Gel polish is a thin colored layer. Builder gel is thicker and shaped over the nail, so it works as a protective layer. Ask at the table and we will show you both.

When do I need a rebalance?

When the growth near the cuticle shows, or an edge begins to lift. Most clients come back every few weeks.

How do I take it off?

Book removal. We soak it and ease it away gently, then buff. Please do not pull it off yourself.
